Support available for Lambeth residents

Lambeth Council has set up three fast testing sites for Lambeth residents who don’t have coronavirus symptom but may have been in contact with someone with symptoms. If you are concerned by any contact you may have had at work or just by traveling on public transport or have a friend or relative who has tested positive you can book a local test by clicking here. Three Lambeth Council testing centres are very convenient for those of us who live in Tusle Hill – The Town Hall, Brockwell Park or Brixton Windmill. If you have any symptoms you must contact the NHS for a test call 119 or book online here.

Mary recently went for a test at one of Lambeth Council’s testing centres and was very impressed with her experience. “I clicked on the link to book a Covid test on Monday 4th January and I was offered a test at 9.50 the following day. I turned up 10 minutes early and was ushered into the Assembly Rooms where I filled in a quick form and 5 mins later I was in the testing area. You do the test yourself while being supervised, but it is quite easy.” Mary’s negative test result was sent to her via text message about 50 minutes after her test. It is also advised to book a follow up test around 3 days later.

In addition to quick coronavirus tests, if you or someone you know needs help with shopping, picking up prescriptions of other daily tasks you can find more information on the Councils website or by ringing 0333 360 3700.
