Ahead of the council elections in May the independent Boundary Commission have redrawn the council wards in Lambeth and every area, including Tulse Hill Ward, has seen changes.
From May a new Brixton Rush Common Ward and a new St Martin’s Ward will replace the area currently covered by Tulse Hill Ward. Brixton Rush Common Ward covers the majority of the existing Tulse Hill Ward – but now incorporates the area east of Effra Road towards Dalberg Road and the area around Holmewood Gardens (including the Roupell Park Estate).
Meanwhile, the southern end of Upper Tulse Hill and the St Martin’s Estate move from Tulse Hill Ward into the new St Martin’s Ward, which will be represented by only two councillors.
Marcia and Ben will be seeking re-election in the Brixton Rush Common Ward – but Mary will be stepping down from her role as a councillors (come back for an update from Mary!).
