Tulse Hill gets funding from the Mayors Community Green Spaces Grant
One of the great things about being a Councillor is we work with community groups to get improvements to our local area. One of our campaigns for a number of years has been trying to get the play area on Rush Common adjacent to St Matthews Estate upgraded.
Lambeth Council has recently been working with the St Matthews Estate TRA, We Are Brixton, Father Nature and South Bank College to improve Rush Common and has been awarded £24,945 from the Mayors Community Green Space Grants. The project will create a woodland walk for people and nature, including a native hedge, new trees and a wildflower meadow.
There will be a community planting day on Rush Common from 1pm on 29th February 2020. We’ll be there and hope you can join us too! For more information on the project click here for the consultation response.
