Our thoughts are with the victims and all those affected by the appalling terrorist attack on Streatham High Road on Sunday 2nd February.
Once again we saw the very best of our community as Streatham residents and local businesses pulled together as one in the wake of this shocking incident. Streatham businesses played a heroic part in looking after affected people and Streatham librarians ensured the safety of hundreds of people. We thank them all for their community spirit.
We are especially grateful to the emergency services whose immediate response saved the lives of many others.
You can show your support in Streatham this Saturday, by coming down to the High Road and adding your message of solidarity outside the Odeon 10am-4pm, joining with the choirs meeting at St Leonard’s Church 10am, or shopping and eating locally to support local businesses.
Lambeth is one of the most diverse places in the country. People from every community have made our area their home. We will not allow terrorism to spread fear among us. We stand united.
